The grit, or finish, of our tools is identified by their color.
- For 1/8” and 3/32” shank tools Yellow is fine and green is coarse.
- For 1/4” tools, 2” wheels and 2” buzzout wheels yellow is fine, green is coarse and orange is extra coarse.
- For 1.75” cups, 2” cups, 4”, 5” and 7” wheels yellow is fine, red is medium, green is coarse and orange is extra coarse.
- Some 1/8" tools are now available in white, extra-fine.
- Some tools are now available in very coarse Supreme grits 125 and 132

Our tools are made of tungsten carbide, with a technology that resists loading so they have a very long life if taken care of properly. After coating all tools are
brazed, hardened and tempered for strength. They can’t be used on metal or ceramics. If they are dropped the ‘teeth’ will break even though they are very strong.
A soft cleaning with a brass brush is all that is needed to keep them in shape.
Orders of items that are in stock will ship within 3 business days. We do everything we can to have all parts in stock but if by chance something is out of stock the wait can be up to a week from order date to ship date. You will receive an email if this happens and updates as necessary.
